The Governor of Tonj State ordered the new commissioners to arrest murderers, cattle raiders and all criminals in their various counties.
Akec Tong Aleu said the criminals will be jailed in Tonj Central Prison to serve the government for some times, Radio Don Bosco reported.
He said prisoners will be used to cultivate in the farms next year as a way of disciplining them.
Governor Tong urged the nineteen commissioners to prioritize security in their areas.
He said the government is deploying more troops to ensure that illegal guns are collected in the state.
The Governor also ordered the commissioners to return looted property to the rightful owners to restore peace in their counties and the state at large.
The nineteen commissioners who were sworn-in on Monday are expected to be sent to their counties on Friday.
