Governor bans street money changers

The Governor of Yei River State issued a gubernatorial order banning the exchange of foreign currency in the black market.
 
David Lokonga Moses’ order says any body found exchanging foreign currency in the streets of Yei Municipality will be arrested, money confiscated and jail for three months, Radio Easter reports.
 
The Governor in another order, formed five-member a committee to investigate the damages inflicted in Lainya County following an attack by armed group.
 
The committee headed by Muki Batali Buli is tasked to assess the damages caused in the government institutions.
 
The committee will also find out the killing of a lay reader who was killed in her garden when she went to collect food items.
 
The two orders were issued on Monday evening.
