Community Empowerment for Rehabilitation and Development called on local authorities in Yei to keep on giving peace hope to the citizens to avoid continued fleeing.
Executive Director of the organization, Mawa George Lazarus, says rumours will lead to increasing escaping of the residents due to fear, Radio Easter reported.
He says the leaders should rebuild the confidence of citizens by giving them assurances on stability and peace so that other activities restart normally.
The activist also calls on the government to ensure that those arrested behind the killing of four civilians in the town face proper justice.
George stresses the need for the government to strengthen security especially in Lainya County so that citizens return to their homes.
