Yei town water and sanitation services say latrines are poisoning underground water, encouraging residents to construct toilets.
Alison Samuel Taligi of the board of directors says authorities are expected to inspect schools and restaurants to make sure they use toilets, Radio Easter reports.
Failure to comply, law enforcement will be involved to destroy latrines, he warns.
Samuel says slay drying bed is underway to keep human wastes and turn them into useful agricultural fertilizer.
He says use of toilets will lead to drop in water born diseases like cholera and typhoid.
