Journalists advised to carefully report conflict sensitive stories

Journalists in Yei River State have been advised to report conflict sensitive stories cautiously to avoid increasing conflict.
 
Search for Common Ground with support from European Union organized the training to equip Journalists with knowledge and skills in covering issues including political, social and economic, Radio Easter reports.
 
The journalists were drawn from media houses and press offices in Yei and Morobo Counties.
 
Stephen Lodu Onesimo, State Minister of Information, urges journalists to get information from the right sources and not to depend on rumours.
 
Speaking on behalf of journalists, Martin Omallo from Liberty FM thanks Search for Common Ground and other partners for the training.
 
He calls for more training especially on investigative reporting and safety of journalists.
 
SFCG Media Coordinator, Daniel Lasuba, advises journalists to cooperate and not to risk themselves because of stories.
 
The training was held at ECSS Guest House.
