Saints Peter and Paul Parish celebrate patron’s Day

Saints, Peter and Paul Parish in the Nuba Mountains celebrated its patron’s day on Friday.
 
Deacon Andrew Ochira in the homily told the Christians and pupils to imitate St Peter, who showed humility when he was crucified, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
 
He encouraged the congregation to be strong in facing persecution in many different ways.
 
Deacon Ochira preached that Saint Paul had great influence over Christian communities by writing 13 letters and was the first person to use the word ‘brothers and sisters.
 
He called on teachers, pupils and others to help one another.
 
Meanwhile Celman Hamuda, a prominent leader in the region appreciated the great work teachers are doing.
 
The pupils performed different traditional dances, dramas and football competition.
 
Saint Vincent Ferrer Primary School and Saints Peter and Paul Primary schools friendly match ended with 2-2 draw.
