James Alic Garang says if the government does not do more to restore the economy, the country will continue to face challenges, Radio Bakhita reports.
He welcomes government’s decision to cut expenditure to restore the country’s financial system.
Alic, who recently participated in a meeting of the World Bank, says South Sudan should adopt the policy advice from the International Monetary Fund to do better.
He says the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning should stop paying officials in US Dollars to avoid putting a huge pressure on the banks.
