Youth leader challenges public to value teachers instead of despising

The youth leadership in Nuba Mountains has challenged pupils and parents to respect teachers as the makers of all professionals.
 
Anggalo Chaluga Kitinye, Kumbur Payam Youth Chairman says pupils and parents must understand that a teacher is the light of a nation, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
 
He criticises the public for minimising teachers.
 
Education Supervisor, Khaled Karaka says establishing evening education programmes like evening classes is beneficial to communities in Nuba.
 
He says education is light of the world.
 
He wonders why children have joined adult or evening school in Ndrudu area of Nuba Mountains instead of joining regular school programmes.
 
Karaka clarifies that evening schools are meant for adults and dropouts only.
