The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba has appealed to the presidency to accept reforms in governance to avoid violence in the country.

‘Change the way you do things, everything will be better; the way of violence is not good’, Bishop Santo Loku Pio advises as Radio Bakhita reports.

He urges the country leadership not to force their own ideas against the will of the people.

The church leaders call for quick mobilisation for resources for the displaced in Wau.

Meanwhile, SPLA Spokesperson, Brigadier Lul Ruai Koang has denied that the army killed civilians in Wau.

He says the SPLA will launch an investigation into the allegation that soldiers were killing innocent civilians in Wau and those found guilty shall be punished.

However, Brigadier Lul says some civilians must have been killed in crossfire during battle in Wau town.
