Gunmen killed two civilians including a teacher during Wednesday’s shooting in Wau town.
The late George Uchalla was shot in the head and died on the spot at his house in Bazia residential area at around 7:00 PM after a group of armed men went on rampage, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
A police captain was also shot dead during the same incident which intensified on Thursday morning.
Steward Uchalla, a family member of the slain teacher says the armed group dressed in SPLA uniform shot his brother.
Governor Elias Waya Nyipuoch on Thursday evening told the press that he receives a report that two civilians were shot dead by unknown armed group.
Waya adds police captain was also shot dead at the morning while he was trying to investigate the event.
The governor calls on citizens to remain calm, saying that the perpetrators would face the law.
The incident has caused fear to citizens and led to closure of schools, market and some government institutions.
