Kajo-Keji County authorities in Yei River State appeal for humanitarian organizations operating in South Sudan to provide assistance to the needy.
County Press Secretary, Derick Derickson says on Wednesday they received South Sudan Red Cross to assess the situation of the internally displaced persons, Radio Easter reports.
One of the team leaders of ‘SSRC’ says their purpose of visit is to assess the situation of the ground starting from Liwolo area and around some areas where displaced people live.
According to the team leader’s statement after their assessment, they will go back to mobilize resources and provide some humanitarian assistance like food and non food items.
Derickson adds that the county commissioner,Julius Lokonga welcomes the initiative and describes it as virtual at the critical moment.
He reveals that on June 24, 2016 the Government of Yei River State and Kajo Keji County authorities’ and security will team up to Nyepo to accompany the return of the displaced persons.
