Government officials and organized forces in Western Lake State celebrated in Rumbek Freedom Square the return of relative peace into the town.
Governor Abraham Makoi Bol Kodi applauds the security forces for protecting citizens in and outside Rumbek town, Radio Good News reports.
Local Government Minister Makuer Mabor Nak says the government is very happy to celebrate the achievement made by security forces in the state.
He says the celebration is meant to thank the security forces for working tirelessly to calm down insecurity which was alarming inside and outside Rumbek town.
The minister says the curfew which the state government imposed early this month, only allows media practitioners, doctors and nurses to walk at late night hours.
The security forces were honoured with five bulls during the celebration.
