Refugees appeal to South Sudan government to support them

South Sudan marked World Refugee Day on Monday with a call for provision of education and safety to their children to raise hope and vision.
 
An Ethiopian refugee, Agade Obang Aballa, urges the government to support them by granting access to basic services like education and safety, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
The government has plans to allocate land to refugees for cultivation to support themselves, says General Bol John Akot, head of South Sudan Commission for Refugees Affairs.
 
Meanwhile, Gabriel Duop Lam, the Deputy Minister of Interior urges refugees in South Sudan to respect the laws of the land.
 
He warns that any refugee involving in criminal acts will be denied status.
 
South Sudan hosts more than 200 thousand refugees, majority of whom are from the Sudan.
 
The World Refugee Day is celebrated every twentieth of June to raise awareness about the problems facing refugees globally.
