Schoolchildren are playing in the learning institutions without lessons as teachers’ strikes stage on Monday, an official tells parents.
Nichoks Lolik, the head teacher of Juba One Girl’s Primary School expresses disappointment over the strike, Radio Bakhita reports.
He says he is unable to tell the teachers to deliver lessons because the protest is beyond his control.
The teachers last week announced going on strike starting on Monday over unpaid salaries and allowances.
Last week Jubek State Education Minister urged primary and secondary school teachers to be patient as they threatened to strike.
His pleas were helpless since they could not address their plights.
