Yirol West County Commissioner has issued an order to clear off kiosks and illegal shops in Yirol West Main Market.
Diardit Bol Dak told the press that the order was to avoid building canteens and unacceptable shops within the market, Radio Good News reports.
The move also allows free movement of vehicle and pedestrians, he says.
Random construction of shops hinders the movement of vehicle, posing traffic jams and insecurity in the market in some occasions, Bol observes.
Commissioner Bol says Yirol Market has become the state market which needs standard buildings.
Traders’ representative, Makuei Amuom Ariei has appreciated the step taken by the county authorities as it opens ways for easy movements.
Removing the verandas and temporary shops will boost the economic growth and expansion of the market, he says.
