The President of the Catholic Bishops of South Sudan blessed the foundation stone of the Secretariat in Juba on Thursday.
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu says the Centre will host the meetings of Bishops and Apostolic Administrators and accommodate staff of Secretariat.
The Catholic prelate says the Centre will have rooms for the leaders of the Catholic Church in South Sudan to avoid renting hotels in Juba.
The construction engineer, Aneesh Anthony told the Bishops and the Apostolic Administrators that the building will be ready after six months.
He says the Secretariat Centre is a ground floor one-storey building.
The Bishops and Apostolic Administrators witnessed the blessing of the foundation stone of the Secretariat.
The event took place after the three-day meeting of the South Sudan Catholic Bishops.
