Parents challenged to take full responsibility of children

A section of parents in Torit are encouraging caretakers and guardians to ensure proper welfare of children.
 
The parents on Wednesday told their colleagues to appreciate God for giving them children by being responsible, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
They say parents should not allow their children undergo difficulties, but rather give them better life for the future.
 
A 16-year-old girl, Pamela Tayin narrates that she suffered in the hands of her parents at her early age.
 
Mary Ihure, a parent in Torit calls on other parents and guardians to value the right of children and prioritize education for the betterment of the nation.
 
She adds that this is the time for education and all children should be given chances to study for brighter South Sudan.
 
The parents were talking to Radio Emmanuel on Wednesday during children program ahead of the African Child Day celebration.
