Medical officer urges citizens to donate blood

A medical officer at Wau Teaching Hospital Blood Bank appeals to citizens to donate blood to save lives.
 
Nickson Anthony told Radio Voice of Hope on Tuesday that the blood bank laboratory in Wau lacks blood because only few people donated blood voluntarily.
 
He says the donation helps in the refreshment of blood circulation and enables the donor to grow in good health.
 
A 21-year-old, Ngong Deng Ngong, who donated blood at Wau Teaching Hospital, expresses happiness of saving a life of patient, who was in urgent need of blood.
 
49-year-old, Juliana Armano Uko, a beneficiary, who was suffering from Anaemia a month ago, thanks God and all those who offered their blood to rescue her life.
 
The Blood Bank at Wau Teaching Hospital was inaugurated in July 2014 by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
