Fighting in Raja displaced hundreds of civilians

Hundreds of civilians are fleeing Raja town of Lol State after the fighting that erupted this morning.
 
Eyewitnesses say the armed group attack Raja at around six AM forcing civilians out of the town, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
Fr Richard Inglizi, a Parish Priest of Raja Catholic Church says he received nearly five hundred civilians including children and the elderly.
 
SPLA spokesman Lul Ruai Kong says the SPLA and SPLA-IO forces are committed to the implementation of the peace agreement despite activities of what he described as enemies of peace carrying out attacks.
 
He says SPLA have repulsed the attackers.
 
Ruai says the casualties are not yet confirmed as the SPLA army is still pursuing the attackers.
 
William Ezekiel, SPLA-IO spokesman denies their forces have carried out the attack.
 
He calls for quick cantonment of the forces to control what he calls ‘unknown gunmen’ from destabilizing the peace implementation process.
 
Ezekiel condemned the attack.
 
He says they are committed to the implementation of the peace agreement.
