The International Criminal Court or ICC Prosecutor says her office is continuing to make more investigations to deliver justice to the victims of grave crimes in Darfur.

Fatou Bensouda says she is shocked by the persistent failure of Sudan to comply with its international obligations, Radio Bakhita reports.

She says the UN cannot and must not remain silent on the judicial findings on the situation of Darfur.

Prosecutor Bensouda says the inaction by the UN Council has encouraged President, Omar al-Bashir to continue travelling across international borders in defiance of two arrest warrants issued against him by the ICC.

She also reports about significant increase in aerial bombardments and ground attacks in Darfur in recent days resulting in deaths of more than 400 civilians and destruction of 200 villages.

The Prosecutor says 107 incidents of sexual crimes against women had been reported involving 225 victims.
