A vegetable grower expresses disappointment over distribution of seedlings without provision of instructions by authorities in the Nuba Mountains.
The anonymous farmer says he grows vegetables such as onions, tomatoes and cassava among others, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
Winter season around the month of September is the most suitable for planting vegetable seedlings in the Nuba Mountains, says Hassan Matle Aralu, a specialist in the area.
He says the best soil for planting vegetables is loam soil.
Matle regrets that growing vegetables is costly because of pests which destroy crops in the area.
He appeals for better equipment like irrigation cans and water pipes to use during dry seasons.
