Sanitation of Yambio open market is poor as the rainy season continues to intensify, citizens complain.
Wilson Amos says it is very difficult to find a clean place in Yambio market to sell local food items, Anisa Radio reports.
He regrets that people are at risk of getting diseases especially children.
Another citizen, Mary Taban, expresses disappointment over the hips of garbage found everywhere with bad smell.
She complains that it is not healthy to buy and sell food items near rubbish.
The municipal and county authorities should know that health citizens contribute greatly for development if they are prevented and protected, she appeals.
Mayor of Yambio Daniel Badagbu says authorities are aware of the poor sanitation in the market and are in the process of keeping Yambio Town clean.
He promises that the government is planning to provide more workers to clean Yambio Town and all the main markets including Masiya and Bazuo.
