Gok community rejects suspension of 28 states

Authorities and the community of newly created Gok State reject UN and international community proposal that 28 states should be suspended.
 
Gok State Minister of Local government Samuel Wel Machiek says they are happy to govern themselves to bring peace into the state, Radio Good News reports.
 
He adds that they support SPLM decision of taking towns to the people.
 
UNMISS State Coordinator Kwame Dwamena Aboagye quoted IGAD as saying the two parties must sit and discuss the issue because the agreement was sign before creations of 28 states.
 
The opposition groups, including SPLM-IO say they do not recognize President Salva Kiir’s 28 states.
