The Council of Ministers of the Transitional government of National Unity resolved that all prisoners of war should be released.

Any person under arrest from both parties should be handed over to the appropriate authorities so that they are delivered to their respective institutions, says, Government Spokesperson, Michael Makuei Lueth.

Makuei says the government resolved to suspend talks over cantonment of forces in Equatoria and Bahr El Ghazal regions to the next sitting.

The council also agreed to keep the state of emergency in the Upper Nile region until security normalizes, he says.
