The University of Bahr El Ghazal has call off its activities for one day to allow staff mourn Assistant Professor Andrew Agok who died on Wednesday at the age of 76.
Professor Agok died suddenly at his home in Nazareth, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
Dr Thomas Madit one of the family members says the professor was diagnosed for malaria and eye disease.
He says his death could be traced to malaria and rheumatism which disturbed him for so long.
Stephen Chol is the Dean of the College of Education. He says Professor Agok was one of the few professors of the college and his death is a great loss to the university and the country.
Andrew Agok was a very committed university staff and a man who loves all.
