A number of houses collapsed due to heavy rainfall in Ndrudu Administrative Unit of Heiban County in Nuba Mountains.
The rainfall started pouring at about 4:00 in the evening on Tuesday, flooded the whole area and river banks burst, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
Two houses were confirmed collapsing including a verandah of one individual that felt on the sorghum store.
Other minor destructions included an individual house falling after the heavy rainfall.
Many of the houses in the Nuba Mountains are grass-built and are not strong enough to withstand the torrential spring rains of the region.
