Secretary-General of the Catholic Diocese of Yei says Sister Veronica Rackova, Director for St Bakhita Health Center has been shot on her hip by SPLA night patrol in Yei Municipality.
Fr Emanuel Lodongo Sebit says Sister Veronica is in critical condition, Radio Easter reports.
He says the incident happened at around 1:00 AM on Monday.
Fr Lodongo says the ambulance that the sister was driving, was shot for several times.
He calls on the general public to pray for Sister Veronica.
Radio Easter could not reach concerned authorities for comments.
