Caritas Yei has trained eight local farmers in St Augustine Parish-Ombasi on ox plough farming.
The beneficiaries will walk to their respective places with a pair of oxen and a plough to start using the initiative properly in their groups, Radio Easter reports.
Santino Mabe, one of the beneficiaries says he will use the knowledge acquired from the training.
He thanks Caritas Yei for training them on oxen plough in order to ease and widen farming.
The farmers have been give knowledge on roping and walking, yoking, running and pulling loads implements, says Alira William Patrick an oxen trainer.
The one month training was organized by Caritas Yei with funds from Caritas International Belgium.
