Standard Bank Group have been operating in southern Sudan for the last five years since the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between Khartoum government and the SPLM/A.
Speaking to SCR news Robert Mbugua, Standard Bank’s Regional Director for International Development Business said the symposium was organized to sensitize southerners how global economy works.
Mr. Mbugua added that the seminar is also to inform his team on the business situation in southern Sudan.
Mr. Mbugua praised his organization’s relationship with the government of southern Sudan and the Multi-Donor Trust organizations working in southern Sudan.
He warned business people and the entire citizens of the region to be alert about fraud that has widely spread in the world.
The meeting was attended by GoSS minister of information and undersecretaries from various GoSS ministries.
