Religious and political leaders are urged to encourage Internally Displaced Persons or IDPs to return to their homes, across the country.
Relief, Reintegration and Protection of Civilian Sites Officer Sam Muhumure sounded the call in a press conference on Wednesday, Radio Emmanuel reports.
The United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS officer asks the leaders in the country to help IDPs regain dignity.
Muhumure notes UNMISS implements 19 projects to deliver services to the IDPs across the country.
He specifies that Torit has three projects running, delivering different services in various locations.
The officer also urges the transition government of national unity and international partners to provide basic services to the needy.
Mr Muhumure told journalists in Torit that Relief, Reintegration and Protection of Civilian Sites serves over 1.6 million IDPs, across the country.
