SCBC Vice President returns home from Rome

The Vice President of the Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC on Tuesday returned to Juba from Rome, Italy.

Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe tells CRN at Juba International Airport that while in Rome, he met religious leaders of Solidarity with South Sudan and discussed issues of supporting the young nation.

The meeting went well and I discussed some projects of Yei Catholic Diocese, he adds.

Bishop Lodu says he appreciated Caritas Italiana and other partners for supporting its South Sudan counterpart.

The Vice President of SCBC calls for trust to Caritas South Sudan because it is still growing and capable to render humanitarian services to people at home.

Bishop Lodu says in Rome he send off some projects to partners to support Yei Diocese and also attended medical check-up which he described as ‘fine’.
