Community Empowerment for Rehabilitation and Development strongly condemns the recent acts of the security personnel against Radio Easter following a news report of extrajudicial killing in Kajo-Keji County.
Mawa George Lazarus, the organization’s Executive Director calls on security organs to allow the media work freely to avail information to the public, Radio Easter reports.
Mawa also condemns extrajudicial killings and detentions in the country.
He calls for release of those in detention so that all citizens work for peace.
The activist encourages the media practitioners to report issues accurately and balanced.
He stresses the need for security organs to first confirm any issue on the ground before complaining against the media.
