The Ceasefire Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism, CTSAMM must verify Machar’s weapons before he returns to Juba, says Government Spokesperson.
Michael Makuei Lueth tells the press that government’s acceptance of Dr Riek Machar’s return to Juba with 20 RPG launchers and 20 PKM machine guns means verification first in Gambella ahead of his flight.
It is after the verification that CTSAMM team will inform the government to issue necessary clearance for the planes to fly to Juba, Minister Makuei says.
The Government Spokesperson says Dr Machar, the First President-designate is expected in Juba by Monday.
Minister Makuei has declined to answer journalists’ question about how many troops and weapons the government has in Juba.
