35 Legislative Councillors in Kajo-Keji County of Yei River State have been equipped with new skills.
The law makers underwent four-day training on functions of the Local Government Council, involvement of media and social accountability among others, Radio Easter reports.
Some participants have spoken out to the media about their gains from the training:
Good governance, skills of monitoring projects and budget analysis are some of their gains pronounced.
Meanwhile, Matata Charles, the Executive Director for Centre for Democracy Initiative-South Sudan urges the councillors to make good use of the skills acquired.
