More than 70 cows have reportedly been stolen in Kalkada area of Heiban County in the Nuba Mountains.
The stealing of cattle comes just days after another raid in Tajura last Saturday, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
A resident in the area says they had formed a search team and found footmarks of camels and people ferrying away the cows.
Witnesses from Kalkada area continuously warn citizens against rearing cattle in distant places.
One source tells Radio Voice of Peace that the cows drank in the centre, grazed a little distance and disappeared until the following day.
Cattle’s rearing is a flourishing business in South Kordofan.
But, the risk involved in it comes with the economic crisis in the region.
