More than 30 councillors in Kajo-Keji County of Yei River State are undergoing five-day training on accountability and monitoring of service delivery to local communities.

The training is being spearheaded by a civil society organisation, Centre for Democracy Initiative-South Sudan with funding from the Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa, Radio Easter reports.

The councillors need to cooperate with the executive, the community and give feedback to the people they serve, Matata Charles, the Executive Director of the training organization explains.

Take a lead for better service delivery, Gordon Loboka, the Advisor to Kajo-Keji County Commissioner urges the councillors.

Loboka advises the county councillors to be more participatory to satisfy the needs of the people.
