Citizens in Yei are happy on the progress made in the implementation of the peace agreement to end the conflict in South Sudan.

They also urge the parties to commit to putting what they signed into practice to end the suffering, Radio Easter reports.

But, they stress the need to get rid of the pressing activities such as ‘unknown gunmen’.

The citizens also demand that the copies of the agreement should be translated into local languages for ordinary people to read and understand.

The suffering of the citizens needs an immediate solution, says Dara Felix of Community Empowerment for Democracy and Development.

Similarly, he encourages the parties to continue speeding up the peace implementation process.

Citizens note that the recent arrival of members of the opposition to Juba including Alfred Lodu Gore is a positive step that the parties are showing commitments to end the war.
