HUMAN RIGHTS TARINING KICKS OFF IN NIMULE

Training workshop on Human rights and peace promotion under the theme “the truth shall set you free” kicked off today, at St. Patrick’s parish in Nimule.

In his opening remarks, Fr. Joseph Mawa, the priest in charge of St. Patrick’s parish urged the participants to be alert on Human Rights issues after receiving the knowledge.

He emphasized that the participants should get empowered in order to help their respective communities, be instrumental in advocating for the rights of the community and be voice for the voiceless.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bulleni Sedit, the Payam judge in Nimule contacted the first session on civil and criminal laws of Sudan.

About thirty participants drawn from Parishes of the Western denary that include, Nimule, Palotaka, Loa and Magwi parishes attended the workshop.

The training is organized by the Catholic diocese of Torit.
