Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop on Friday paid a solidarity visit to the Western Deanery of his diocese.
Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala led a delegation of priests, government dignitaries and press team to Ezo, Source Yubu and Tombura in what he describes as a solidarity visit, Radio Anisa reports.
He says the solidarity visit is meant for prayers and raising of hope of the citizens after recent heightening insecurity.
The situation in those areas is similar to what happened in Yambio and Maridi, Bishop Hiiboro says.
Openness brings lasting peace for citizens to cultivate at the rainy season, he says.
The bishop says the church and government should work together to bring lasting peace.
