The underdeveloped South Sudanese roads make the country 60 percent inaccessible by roads during rainy season for humanitarian delivery, decries an official of the World Food Program or WFP.

Joyce Luma says there is an urgent need for aerial capacity to assist cargo airdrop of food aid due to lack of accessible roads, Radio Bakhita reports.

Ashley MaClaughlin, a Communication Officer for International Organization for Migration or IOM earlier disclosed that once the rainy season begins humanitarian agencies will rely on air to deliver assistance.
