The Minister of Agriculture in Tonj State says with their fertile land, food security can be achieved in the shortest time possible.
James Gabriel Khamis says a survey shows viable areas for cultivation in Tonj South County and the other counties, the team had visited, Radio Don Bosco reports.
He says tractors will be used to fight hunger in their state.
Gabriel says there will be some incentive payable to farmers to boost food production.
Minister Gabriel says there is no need to worry of money because tractors may be made affordable to everyone.
The minister made the remarks on Monday.
