Speaking in Arabic, Fr Santino Maurino says allowing farmers to move to their farmland help them produce surplus food to avert looming starvation, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
He emphasizes that South Sudan is in need of agricultural production in the fight against threatening famine.
Without stability in the whole nation, agricultural production will not be possible, the priest observes.
He made the remark while presiding over the Eucharist celebration on Sunday at St Mary Cathedral in Wau.
