Inter-secondary school football and volleyball tournaments have been suspended indefinitely due to rising indiscipline cases among students, authorities say.
The joint decision was reached by the organizing committee and the education office, Radio Easter reports.
Rising indiscipline cases such as fighting has led to the suspension, says Afimani Gopfin, Chairperson of Inter-Secondary Schools Sports.
Inspector of Secondary Schools, Emmanuel Sebit, blames some administrators for being reluctant to control their students who violated rules.
Athletics in second term and music dance and drama competitions in third term will be held, Sebit adds.
