The Speaker of the National Legislative Assembly has dismissed reports that the legislature is obstructing supplementary budget for increment of salaries for civil servants.

Manasseh Magok Rundial says the parliament has not received any salary increment proposal from the Council of Ministers, Radio Bakhita reports.

The parliament will be discussing about the economic crisis in the country on Monday, says the speaker.

In January this year, the national cabinet passed 300 percent increment of salaries for low income civil servants.

The salary increment was supposed to be effective from February pay.

But, that has not yet been paid amidst reports that there seems some disagreement within the arms of government.
