Humanitarian agencies delivering supplies between Juba and Bentiu pay thirty-three thousand South Sudanese Pounds per truck, says the Chairperson of the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission, JMEC.

Festus Mogae explains that there are 54 checkpoints between Juba and Bentiu.

He urges South Sudanese authorities to make commitments on free access to humanitarian operation a reality.

President Mogae also condemns the recent passage of the NGO Bill by the National Parliament in the absence of the transitional assembly members from the opposition.

This law, which is specifically mentioned in the Peace Agreement has been addressed outside of the provisions, he says.

President Mogae needs the Transitional Government of National Unity to ensure that there is public consultation on the reform of the NGO law.
