Collo Members of Parliament, MPs in the National Legislative Assembly condemns United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS for failing to protect civilians in its site.

Minority Leader, Onyoti Adigo Nyikwec tells reporters that UNMISS failed to protect civilians when shooting began in Malakal, Radio Bakhita reports.

The Mission delayed to intervene in the violence, Adigo argues.

The government and UNMISS should form an inclusive investigation committee to bring the culprits of the incident to books, MP Adigo recommends.

Last Wednesday, violence broke out in Malakal UNMISS Protection of Civilians site leaving at least 18 dead and several others wounded.

Meanwhile UNMISS Chief Ellen Margrethe condemns the violence in a publication on Juba Monitor Newspaper.

She reminds the South Sudanese military that attacks on UN premises amount to war crime.
