At least 40 metric tons of processed coffee will be exported to the international markets in Sweden before the end of this month, announces Assistant Commissioner for Agriculture in Yei River.
Edmond Gogo attributed this year’s high level coffee harvest to favourable climate and application of improved skills of production carried out by the farmers, Radio Easter reports.
He appealed to the state and the national governments to support the farming communities with loans and equipment.
Last Year, Yei River exported 17.5 metric to the international markets.
South Sudan majorly depends on oil export as its main source of revenue with limited support to the agriculture sector.
