Mogae appoints former Guinea Prime Minister his deputy

The Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission Chairperson appointed former Prime Minister of Guinea François Lounceny Fall his deputy.
 
Festus G. Mogae on Sunday described Mr Fall as a distinguished public servant who had ably served his country and the United Nations, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
Mr Fall was Guinea’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2000 to 2002 and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2002 to 2004.
 
He was the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia from 2005 to 2010.
 
Mr Fall assumed his responsibilities on Monday.
