More than one hundred youth from 20 parishes in Wau Catholic Dioceses are conducting five-day conference under the theme: ‘Youth are instruments of peace and reconciliation’.
Diocesan Coordinator of Youth Fr Moses Peter says the conference aims at empowering youth on spiritual, social and leadership values, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
The conference would focus more on peaceful coexistence among communities of South Sudan especially between farmers and pastoralists, Fr Peter explains.
The representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports John Akille urges the participants to take the knowledge to all communities.
Youth office was established at the Diocese of Wau in 2013.
