South Sudan Political Alliance calls on the national Finance Minister to immediately reverse the exchange rate policy of South Sudanese Pound against US Dollar.

Attention should be directed to fight corruption and protect lower income class, Clement Juma Mbugoniwia, Leader of United South Sudan Party tells the press.

The Alliance was reacting to Monday’s Finance Minister David Deng Athorbei declaration of floating US Dollar rate policy.

Juma argues that the Central Bank should supply the market with enough hard currencies instead of auctioning 20 million US dollars to the commercial banks.

He tells the parliament to stand up to their responsibilities towards South Sudanese.

The political leader says a bag of flour rose from 450 to 975 Pounds after the policy.
